OLAT – short for online learning and training – is UZH’s own Learning Management System (LMS). It is used by all faculties to provide content and offers various online formats for self-study and for reviewing learning progress. You’ll find everything you need to know about OLAT on the Central IT website:

When you matriculate at UZH, you automatically receive a user account for Microsoft 365, allowing you to use the basic collaboration and communication tools (Microsoft Teams), cloud storage (OneDrive), Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email (Outlook). UZH’s Central IT office also offers free courses on using Office 365 programs on a regular basis.

Depending on your subject, you might need other programs and software for your studies, many of which can be downloaded from the UZH software portal. The software is available for both PC and Mac.
