Confirmation of Doctorate

The Degrees Office issues doctoral degree confirmations for doctoral degrees earned at the University of Zurich. These certify the degree awarded, the date of the degree, and are stamped with the stamp of the University of Zurich and a signature deposited at the Chancellery of the Canton of Zurich. The dissertation title is not mentioned.

For confirmation of other degrees obtained at the University of Zurich, you can request a confirmation of exmatriculation from the UZH Kanzlei.

The confirmation is available in German and English and costs CHF 50 per language.
Please send the completed PDF form (can be filled out electronically with Acrobat Reader), located at the bottom of the footer, with a copy of your passport/ID (both pages) to the following address:

At the latest two to four weeks after receipt of your request, the confirmation will be sent to you by mail. The invoice will be sent in a separate letter.
