You can request name changes under "My Requests and Invoices" in the student portal. A copy of an official document (passport, identity card) must be submitted.
Approval of your request will also result in your University of Zurich e-mail address being changed as well. You will receive a separate e-mail from the University of Zurich IT Service Desk in this regard. If you would like a new UZH Card, please inform the Student Administration Office using the contact form.

In principle, students are registered with all first and last names according to the identity data provided, as all student documents such as achievement certificates, study certificates and graduation documents can be issued in the same way. If there is a weighty reason, a deviating registration is possible. To do this, submit a corresponding request in the student portal.
Details, see website Changing Personal Details.
The generation of the e-mail address is based on the registration in the student administration system, i.e. with all first and last names. Therefore, a change of the e-mail address is usually only possible if the name in the official documents (passport or identity card) has been changed. Registration deviating from the data in the identity documents presented is only possible if there are weighty reasons.
